Gingerbread is coming to LG Optimus 2X, 3D and Black

LG Optimus 2X, Optimus 3D and Optimus Black are finally getting Android 2.3 Gingerbread this November. The schedule below applies for the European and carrier-independent Optimus models.

LG Optimus 2X - update rolls out on November 1
LG Optimus 3D - update rolls out in the week commencing November 21
LG Optimus Black - update rolls out in the week commencing November 28

The update schedule for other market and carrier-locked models will be announced later or you can ask your local service representatives.

The information comes via the official LG page on Facebook. There is really no more info beyond that (besides a few "thanks for your patience").

I got the gingerbread update for LG Optimus Black in India last night through the LG Mobile update tool. Minor changes changes noticed.. But good to finally have the update...
