Already launched in India for lNR Rs 35,000/- but nobody seen interested on it.
No gorilla glass, no SD card slot etc.
24MP camera alone, cannot solved the customers requirement

The hardware specifications of Gionee Phones are good but their software upgradation is very pathetic. The Gionee Elife E7 which they calling as their flagship phone is still stuck at Kitkat OS. If you ask about the update on their Facebook page, answer remains the same as "Thank you for writing in. Currently, there are no updates scheduled. We will let you know as and when the update is available". The other company phones which have less specifications than Gionee, already updated with the Lollipop but Gionee is still struggling with the update.Even they can't confirm the specific date for update...don't know what their developers are doing.Also if you give your phone for repairing at Gionee Service Center for any hardware issue, then forget your phone at least for a month. You will get your phone repaired only after 30-40 days. I had given my phone which had touch screen problem,it took 45 days for replacement of the touchscreen.Nobody picks a call on the toll free number provided on their website. So think twice before spending your hard earned money on Gionee phones.

Yes, Gorilla glass and Micro SD card slot is an essential component of all good quality smartphone/phablet.

This Gionee Elite E8 does not have Hotspot, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth. So how do want transfer files and others.

It might have some optimisation issues that's why gionee is scared of launching e8 I am not interested anymore waiting for xperia z5 premium
