Unable to install USB drivers on my Win 7 PC in debugging mode. USB drivers available online are totally useless. Don't know exactly what to do?

As everyone else here has mentioned this phone is certainly not worth the money. Its a decent phone i agree. I have been using it for the past 1 month and love the design and the screen. But thats it. the screen sometimes is unresponsive and if you are a music buff stay away from this phone. They have used a really really shitty DAC (sound card/chip). I use my Sony MDR XB 90 with these and they sound like shit! when i listen to the same thing with the same earphones on my ipod or my friends Xperia it sounds amazing. No bass from the handset at all. Camera is average and speed of the phone overall is good. Buy only if style is all you are looking for. Else put in a little more buy the galaxy s4 which uses a wolfson DAC or if you want to buy gionee then buy the E7 which comes with a snapdragon SOC with a snapdragon DAC which sounds good too. But stay away from this phone its far from satisfying.

gione earphone sound is bad so use creative ep630 its works batter I'm using and satisfied its sound quality.

User interface is not good, original software seems much dependent on 3rd party apps, poor battery backup, poor 2g internet experience, this phone seems pretty in design only, i wasted my money on this device, that's among worst smartphones i experienced.

[deleted post]I was also facing problems with kitkat update until i did the reset..... After the reset i m nt facing ny problems. It is working flawless.
I seriously recommend all of u to do a reset... N thn use ths phn.... Everything is better than jelly beans
The sound quality is not bad it doesn't hv tht kind volume tht wl blow ur head... I am personally very specific of about audio quality....clarity is good but it is nt made for bass lovers... I use sony xb30ex...

Suggest to buy mmx Gold/iris .
Choose quality&life!! Not the Desigh n looks!!!I bought this phone by taking a chance.M'a friends advised me not to buy such Chinese handset!!
The design is quiet good.and performance was also Ok!!
The biggest fault I found was that the screen pasting got detached in jst 3 months and the speakers are also not working properly.kracking sound on high volume levels is really horrible....

With Gionee S5.5 the company has lost the little brand value that it had created by all its predecessor phone, E7 MINI, M2, E7, E6 etc
1st - with the delayed availability of the phone.
2nd - Then with the factory software on the phone-problem with certain apps like Facebook crash, camera app,etc
3rd - Heating issues, battery life.
4th - Huge delay in update to Kitkat
5th - Now their r problems with the updated version - Nq security not working, network issues, sound quality issues etc
When i saw this phone 1st time on YouTube when launched at MWC 2014, i was really dazzled to get my hand on phone but now i feel disappointed, angry with the Company for not getting things right with this phone.
As said by MD GIONEE INDIA," Gionee S5.5 is piece of ART" I totally agree "Gionee S5.5 is piece of ART, but not a smartphone to buy unless u want stylephone instead of smartphone"

audio quality is poor inbuilt.. not the fault of earfones buddy .... even my sony earfones sounds bad on this fon

dev, 11 Jul 2014I owned this mobile a week before and updated 4.4.2 but st... morefor ur fb issue go to play store search for fb and it shows u fb app with update click on update n ur problem is solved.

i also update my phone to kitkat after that my network just went away .... i hv to stay out to get the signals inside house or office no signal at all
worst part u cant go back to previous jellybean

All who bought gionee 5.5 or using it already...DO NOT UPDATE IT TO KITKAT!!
Use jelybean im sure gionee will fix the bug and will again launch kitkat
then u can DL it
