I have 3 of these handsets and all of those are working flawlessly after doing the OTA update.

hi. i have purchased Gionee s5.5 2 days back. having some problem in their smart gesture. i can not make call or can not receive call through smart gesture. anyone can help me for same.

Sachin, 30 May 2014we can't play high end games as it gets heated very fast it... moreI also have the same problem from 100 to 80 % get down very fast and it takes so much time to get recharged. if you use the mobile during charging it charges very slow

Sachin, 30 May 2014we can't play high end games as it gets heated very fast it... moreBut the battery last almost as good as the other android mobiles.it consume more battery since the screen is super Amoled.Any Super Amoled screen be it Samsung also doesn't have continuous battery back of more than 5-6 hours of continuous screen use with 3G etc.Of course gaming will consumer more battery.normal usage would be days time.
IPS capacitive screen have more battery of 6-8 hrs of continuous usage.
So anybody who is saying that Super amoled or IPS would give backup time of 24 continuous non stop usage with 3G or with gaming usage is bluffing you.

we can't play high end games as it gets heated very fast it feels like hand will get burnt, and battery drains very fast from 100% to 80% in just 10 mins.

srini, 29 May 2014Is it better to buy Gionee Elife S5.5?please Little more in... moreYa heating is there little reason felt mot because the body is metal and glass and on the thinner side.Otherwise the heat is ok and only if heavy gaming is done.
All other slim devices with metal body also getting hot be it sony or others , its nothing unusual about it.Heat escape is good from the device life perspective.

The mobile is great with awesome display.There is one issue with battery, it charges till 86-87% slowly but suddenly reaches 100% within few mins.Also drainage from 100% to 75% within 20-40 mins of regular/heavy usage.otherwise normal usage it last for one day approx as other android devices.
Anybody facing this issue.
The service center guys quite cooperative asked me to take new mobile (Do letter and u can collect the mobile from dealer)if not satisfied with this issue.Quite impressive.

It has better battery backup then gionee or micromax. Motorola is a well known company. Its international unlike micromax and gionee(chinese made). So make the smartest choice
