Oh so I bought this smartphone a week ago and lagging is the only problem I had, although the battery life is very excellent...
The amount of ram which is 1GB is useless 'coz of bloatwares and I know that most users doesn't need them at all so for me:
I went to xda forums and Do a Custom ROM and tadaaaa! My phone got smoother than it is ! I use L UI rom made by Ravi and it's upgraded to 4.4.4 KK(I root it of course using "kingroot"- a one click rooter for Gionee M3 that takes only 3-5 min. to root) !
haha! nC phone ever for Me! although I knew that my warranty is now VOID! :)
furthermore, Gionee Company should at-least put a protective screen on it :(

wonderful mobile phone. Best performance. Super battery for two days with internet, photos and tour trip camera usage.
nothing to worry about.

I'm using Gionee Marathon M3 Since this'14 khrismas there is no lag battery backup superb glad to have it go for it

Though the Gionee M3 is good phone but I am not able to open Kingsoft Office or Colornote after using the phone for few hours of activity and says "Not able to open app as memory is full"
They open if I clear cache memory for all applications
There is sufficient memory free on phone as well as sd card.
Earlier I was using Canvas II Micromax dual core but never encountered this problem.
Is it set problem or some setting etc need to be changed. Pls guide

You should not wory about that .. Just take always on your mind how to take care ur phone like dont use it while u are charging.or double chexk ur wifi and data connection before you charge. And dont over charge or over drain thanks t.c

Few tips without rooting the phone:
Replace:
1. install Nova Launcher as default
2. Remove "Phone" - contacts and dialer which is utterly slow and lagging when typing with:
"True Phone" App and place it in the left bottom corner for convenience.
3. Remove as much apps as possible DISABLE unwanted Google apps.
4. Use cleanmaster from Google Play. Gionee's version of Cleanmaster, touchpal(keyboard) etc are old.
5. Since I got a conformation that Android Lollipop update is not available for M3, it is safe to root and use cleanmaster or any better advanced system cleaner to remove the Amigo UI rubbish.
Definitely, Hardware is a big problem because without full AMIGO 2.O UI like in elife series, Gionee M3 is struggling. Chipset and processor and RAM are primitive for current day usage. Zenfone 5 would've been better. Still, This phone is for only one thing battery life and may be, reliability.

Chama, 11 Jan 2015I can get 33h10m after fully charged using DU Battery Saver... moreinstall battery doctor and do setting inside the app.if u don't do settings then it will reduce your battery double.

On auto kill apps and click on ignore list remove all.Done now u will save your battery this app will increase your battery 40%.thanks
u did not did settings inside DU battery that's why you are facing with battery problems.settings are compulsory
