I want to but this phone for my dad! Please suggest whether it a good phone or not.
Also, suggest some of the android phones available in the market from 5k to 8k.

it is really an excellent phone ......... and way better than other of similar prices
battery is awesome , i have been using since 6 months and its going great .... i can play cool games of high graphics very smoothly ...... anyone wanting to buy it go ahead .....

1 Nice battery backup
2 Android 4.4.2
3 1gb ram handles all apps and games like Asphalt 8 , GTA san andreas , Nova 3 , Modern combat 5 , Facebook runs smooth
4 Service Centers of gionee are nice ....

This is the best Android Smartphone for Advanced user because a normal user says that Company not gives latest updates,phone hanges,poor battery backup and poor camera quality etc.
But I have no any issues ,because I manage everything myself with the help of internet such like Phone rooting, custom /Lollipop ROM installing, increase battery backup by avoiding overcharging and much background operations. etc
