MIUI 9 hitting Xiaomi Mi 5 and Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus global units
The global rollout of MIUI 9 started two weeks ago and it already hit several devices. Today Mi 5 and Mi 5s Plus get to join the fun.
MIUI 9 on Xiaomi Mi 5
MIUI V9.1.1.0 NAAMIEI is 571 MB and brings a bunch of new features and even more performance tweaks. Dual apps supports search for apps and the battery saver now gets a switch for better control when the device is charged.
A better folder cleaner, optimized system decryption speed and fixes for the language support issues with the camera app are part of the upgrade.
The home page is completely redesigned, there are cards for holidays in Russia in the Calendar app, some themes are updated and selected apps now have animated icons in the default theme.
MIUI 9 on Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus
Most of the new features that arrived to global Xiaomi Mi 5 devices will also pop up on Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus phones which got a heavier update named MIUI V9.1.1.0 NBGMIEI with twice the size - 1.3 GB.

This is not stable but nightly only release... But today (16.11.2017) xiaomi release stable MIUI 9 for Mi5!
