Google launches Pixel 9 series, Pixel Watch 3, and Pixel Buds Pro 2 in India

Google has announced that it is bringing its entire catalog of new devices to India that the company announced at an event yesterday. This includes the Pixel 9, the Pixel 9 Pro and the Pixel 9 Pro XL, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, the Pixel Watch 3, and the Pixel Buds Pro 2. This is somewhat unprecedented, as the company had previously only brought select devices to the Indian market.

Among these devices, the Pixel 9 and specifically the Pixel 9 Pro XL are available for pre-order on Flipkart and retail partners starting today and will be on shelves starting August 22. The other devices will become available later this year.

The company has also announced launch offers on the new devices. All Pixel 9 devices will get 1 year of Google One AI Premium subscription. There will also be bank offers up to INR 10,000, and 12-month no-cost EMI available through ICICI Bank credit cards. Bajaj finance will also be offering interest free loans for up to 18 months.

Google also announced that it is greatly increasing its offline retail footprint in India with this launch, with Croma and Reliance Retail outlets now joining Flipkart as the official retail partners. Google is also opening three Walk-in Centers, with one each opening in New Delhi and Bengaluru today and a third in Mumbai soon after. These will provide sales and service to all Google, FitBit, and Nest products, regardless of where these devices where purchased.

Finally, the company also announced official price drops on its previous generation Pixel devices, going all the way back to the Pixel 7a. Of course, you can usually get these for even cheaper during sales.
