Google Maps starts showing toll pass prices on Android and iOS
Google announced on its blog an intriguing new feature - toll pass prices when in navigation. The feature will be available for nearly 2,000 toll roads and should be hitting Android and iOS devices.
For the planner friend: this new feature is for you. 🙏

Now when you’re planning trips big and small, you can check estimated toll prices before you pick a route—and spend what you save on road snacks. pic.twitter.com/Lfy8s2TXQU
The estimated toll price to the destination will be gathered “thanks to trusted information from local tolling authorities”, including specific details on whether the road has a toll pass or not, what day of the week it is, and which time the toll will be crossed at.
Google Maps will still allow users to mark “Avoid tolls” in settings, and will also offer price changes based on their payment method.
The feature will first appear in India, Indonesia, Japan, and the United States, and more countries will follow soon.
