Google Pay adds 90 banking institutions from 9 different countries

Google Pay keeps expanding its list of banks and financial institutions that support the payment system.

There are 90 new entries from 9 countries all over the world, with Switzerland weighing heavy in this roster with 80 banks. The full list follows.

A quick glance reveals that different branches of the same Swiss bank are listed separately, making the list appear bigger than it really is.

Nevertheless, it is good to see Google Pay taking another step towards universal adoption.

🤣🤣🤣 if the government wants you, they'll block your access to any bank account which means that your Google pay will be useless without money.

I didn't know banking apps in some countries did not have built-in NFC payment support. e-wallet apps or google/samsung/apple pay would be a workaround for that case. otherwise, banking app would be more convenient and secure.
