      "Satisfying downfall of Pixel phones"?
I mean, this thing costs MORE than an iPhone 16 Pro AND is inferior in every aspect (except some AI stuff). I just don't get it...

It's Not Possible! All Google Pixel Phone don't have Dolby Atmos! Series 8 .9 and 10 have just features Spatial Sounds bot not Dolby Atmos and 7a,8a,and 9a don't have nothing! It's incredible! Sounds it's horrible vs iPhone ,Motorola or Samsung! And don't exist any App Third Parties to install it! I think seriously to Sell tmy pixel and i buy another Brand!

[deleted post]No manufacture proprietary code is safe as you will "NEVER" know what's in the code.
But there is Android Open Source Project and roms based on that, which you can flash one; this is the way to be sure it's safe on OS side.

We are not sure these phones are safe and secure, spying through manufacturer for some states is highly risky,so Chinese phones are much better secure

Ok, owned the device now for a bit. Utterly disappointed. So let's start.

Compass is not working well, and Android Auto gets confused a lot. Yeah, a compass app shows the same, and yes, calibrated.

Dolby Atmos is missing (so that Tidal reverts back to 44.1KHz / 16 bit). I won't nag about Dolby Vision, but that is just another annoyance.

Next, we got aptX Lossless missing. Should have known going in, but it did list aptX HD, so there was hope.

LDAC only works up to 600kBit, so no 96KHz / 24 bit.

Battery life sucks in real life. The synthetic tests are always iffy, and Pixel/Android seem to have some learing time before the consumption settles. The biggest offender seems to be WiFi, which drains that battery even at night (when the phone is not in use, no downloads are scheduled, WiFi calling off).

The camera is not what I had hoped for. The telephoto is nice on paper, but in real life, unless it's bright and sunny outside, even at 15x then image loses most of the detail, and faces look like plastic mannequins. Does not look like it's possible to to Portrait with the telephoto, not does Macro seem to work well. Too simple interface, not enough control. So the whole reason to go for a 10 Pro instead of the non-Pro is a mute point in practice. So either go for a "Ultra" type phone or get a Pixel 10 and real camera for when it counts.

And heard that often the customers who tried to claim their device were rejected or had to wait for weeks to get new device and so on.
                You would not want it.

Interesting how most of the comments jump in on the aspects, where the article pointed out the Pixel Pro model being mediocre. A lot claim, they`d never buy a pixel because of the "awful" battery. Well, then get the ProXL which does have considerably more power in that regards.
Sure, we all know it lacks here and there, but seriously: as sharp as for instance Xiaomi pix are, or Iphone pix not bad - but look at the colour rendering of Xiaomi pix, or even the yellowish tone in iphone photos. (nice for food, but clouds?)
Overall, one can tell here, that like always the opponents and fan groups are busy touting how awful the phone might be or not. For the test one takes the smaller version, which does lack some important factors of the XL version. (Qi2.2 25 Watts wireless)...
And to Samsung users: Sorry, I do have a S23 Ultra as well - and the current models have been one or two steps back. No 50mp portrait mode (which is significantly better now on the pixel pro models), no 10 times zoom any more. And not even the attempt of a usable wider zoom.

Anyways, in one thing I agree to a lot of critics here: The camera hardware ought to be improved. Its ok for now, cause of the overall experience, though.

When it was cheap ok but it’s not cheap anymore so why bother those.
Also good ui is highly subjective. I really haaate UI of last 5 years or so. Popups notifications annoyances all over the place , less feature for more complicated way of doing things. Fancy things like animation are point less to me. the more straight to the point and snappy the better the UI. That’s the design guide for critical control GUI plants e.g nuclear plants, oil plants for a reason.

Had Pixel once just to find out most smart features don't work regionally. Returned to Samsung. Now looking at this 10 Pro: 2x slower, 2x heavier ("feels-like") than S25 Edge, and for double price. Good joke :-D

If a SoC of your >1000 EUR smartphone is a garbage and cannot handle 3rd party apps at a satisfactory level than there is something wrong.

                                  > People care for battery, stability, efficiency and clean Android experience coupled with decent camera results. Those are the Pixel buyers.

So there is a bad message for all Pixel buyers because all of Pixel 10 (Pro) cannot deliver all the features you mentioned. PS Pixels do not have "clean Android".

My experience started with the Pixel 6 5G which was a good device but got hot, sometimes very hot while not doing heavy stuff. That one still had a SD chipset, not the samsung made stuff. It wasn't a bad device but there was better. Then came the 7a which was a very beautiful device but that was it. A dreadful battery performance and the known heat issues. It didn't last me a day while I consider myself to be a medium user at most with no heavy gaming, no hours of streaming... After that came the 8a which I found to be equally beautiful, even nicer than the 7a and with that one the main constraints of the 7a were already addressed much better with much better battery performance, less heat but still not great, especially for the price (luckily I bought these at seriously diminished prices making it less hard to swallow). Currently I have the 9a which is finally something worthy of the price (at least in my mind and after having waited for the price to drop). A good device with a battery that lasts me a day and a half (still not class leading considering my user profile but very acceptable). Till now I encountered no issues what so ever. Sometimes it gets a bit warm but not more than what I encountered with my iPhone's in the past not with my Samsung units. Only thing that still bothers me in general with stock android is that the customisation possibilities are too little. Sure, it's meant to be like that but a bit more couldn't harm. With the Pixel 10 I'm downright disappointed with the battery performance and while I'm sure they will fix it with some bug fixing later on (just as it happened with the Nothing 1 phone in the beginning) it's downright disappointing to dare to sell something for that price with that level of overall performance. It's not only disappointing but Google should be ashamed to treat their customers as overpaying Beta users. It's not because Apple and sometimes Samsung (and probably other brands) does it that Google should imitate that behaviour. The rest of this phone is fine for me. The design is my cup of tea (except for the 20:9 ration screen as I prefer 19,5:9). I'll keep an eye on the user findings. Let's see how it will evolve within 6 to 12 months from now. Maybe it will get more worthy of the asking price.
