Google Pixel 6 series passes through FCC, confirming UWB and Wi-Fi 6E support

Sagar, 21 September 2021

The Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro expected to arrive next month have been FCC certified, moving them a step closer to the launch.

We are looking at four filings covering six models - GLU0G, G9S9B, G8V0U, GF5KQ, GB7N6, and GR1YH - with the last four covered under two filings.

The FCC documents don't detail the phones' specs sheets, but they confirm that the Pixel 6 series will come with Wi-Fi 6E and ultra-wideband (UWB) support. The latter's not a surprise, though, since evidence about the same had surfaced previously. However, not all models have mmWave 5G and UWB support, which might be a carrier thing.

You can check out the table below to get a better idea about the mmWave, UWB, and Wi-Fi 6E support across the six certified models.
