flagshipper, 15 Mar 2023so i bought Pixel 7 as a replacement of dead Flip3, thinkin... moreYes, I had that issue too in the past when the fingerprint icon is way off the correct location of the actual sensor especially when screen rotation is not locked to portrait. I haven't noticed that bug anymore after the March 2023 update. The misalignment seems to happen if you use custom dp (smallest width) setting in 'Developer settings' and are using custom launchers like Nova launcher.

so i bought Pixel 7 as a replacement of dead Flip3, thinkin' it's the best choice on the market. Featureless (opposite of Xperia), but with great display & camera (which Xperia doesn't have), and smart functions (which noone other than Google and Samsung have), mimickin at least part of OneUI experience.
Soon i noticed the swipe control is little bit unreliable, like pictures scrolling left and right won't always react. Then gesture navigation stopped working and i found it as a common issue on forums. Ok, so i'm now without home, app switch functions. Oops. Finally, the fingerprint is a total chaos. On the lockscreen the icon is way below the sensor, so you need to guess where to place the finger. When unlocked, the in-app fingerprint icon is at correct place, but sensor does not accept the finger as on the lockscreen. I mean it won't even light up the sensor despite perfect position of the finger, in any angle, or any amount of pressure, or any amount of surface. It literally won't accept exact same touch that works on lockscreen. Need to shift finger 1/2 down to activate the sensor. OMG.

Anonymous, 15 Mar 2023Yes. My right thumb fingerprint has issues (frequently not ... moreIt's possible my left thumb fingerprint is more oily than my right thumb. If you have sweaty/oily palms/hands, you won't have issues with the fingerprint sensor. Otherwise you'll have to try which finger works best. If none of your 10 fingers are doung well with the fingerprint sensor despite repeated registration, then you may have to do the 'face touch' workaround every time you want to unlock the phone. Some optical underdisplay fingerprint sensors are just finicky possibly due to issues with quality control. Had 2 Samsung phones in the past. The first had a fingerprint recognition issue similar to my Pixel 7 while the second one doesn't have any. A software update to the first Samsung phone improved the fingerprint issue, but it still is not as good as my second Samsung phone with no fingerprint issues at all.

alicey2420, 15 Mar 2023I hear some people said the fingerprint recognition is not ... moreYes. My right thumb fingerprint has issues (frequently not recognized) despite repeating the registration process several times. My left thumb fingerprint has no issues at all. I haven't tried registering with other fingers so they may work as well as my left thumb or as bad as my right thumb. One thing works ALL THE TIME though. Before touching the fingerprint sensor, if you moisten your finger with facial oil, there's no fingerprint recognition failures at all with whatever finger you use. Otherwise, it seems to register and recognize some fingers more than others.

Guys, how to block adds (just open the app only not even start to watch any video) in YouTube !.
When we click the youtube app in Android os it's shows some unwanted (18+) adds. Those adds are showing for "HD VIDEO DOWNLOADER 2023 app downloader".
Google better to stop those (18+) adds in YouTube. Other wise you will loose your customers in future. We know Google is king for adds, but these types of adds are worse.

Anonymous, 28 Feb 2023The Mi9 is also an obsolete 4 year old phone from 2019. 202... moreMi9 was great. At that time, with 30W both wired and wireless charging. Feature packed, still relatively light. Incredibly cheap (last cycle before hyperinflation). And with lovely notification light which is now offered only by Xperia.
I wish one day we come back to those features, we get light phones, and no notch. Xperia needs to tweak the display, camera, software and reach this goal first.

Anonymous, 25 Feb 2023Until the Pinephone leaves beta, the Pixel phones are the B... moreActually, there is no phone by any major OEM and that includes Google which sells pure stock Android. The pure stock Android is AOSP.
Pixels have AOSP + Pixel experience on top of it.
Motorola phones have AOSP + MyUX experience on top of it.
Yes, they are minimal upgrades compared to likes of OneUI or MIUI, but still, nobody sells AOSP because you can't use Google apps.
