ZenFone 9 costs the same and is way better buy. Only "downside" is a smaller sensor. But you'll get stock like Android experience.

That literally strengthens my argument. 😂

it's a pity that there is no macro camera :( I often use it on xiaomi

I upgraded phones for all family members recently during the ongoing sales in india

                1) Realme GT Neo 3T (SD870)
                2) Vivo T1 5G (SD695)
                3) Moto G82 5G (SD695)
                4) Mi 11X (SD870)
                5) Pixel 7 (Tensor 2) >>>>> MY PHONE

                NOTES:
                - 1-4 use TSMC fab process
                - 5 uses Samsung's fab process
                - Motorola poled display is very nice
                - Hyderabad weather is around 27C so its not summer when it reaches 45C

I experienced heating issues on Pixel 7 during a-d

                a) ~10G of data trasnfer via usb from my old phone vivo nex (sd845)
                - nex didnt heat up all
                - but pixel did heated up significant

                b) whatsapp data restore (~5G) from cloud

                c) system updates

                d) I opened around 40+ apps and noticed heating issues
                - SOP for new phone is migration from old phone and init
                - most apps that I use are light weight like shopping, banking, streaming, vpn, password, utils etc

                PIXEL NOTES:
                - applications didnt crash or wedge but in general heating is seen on pixel compared with the other phones.
                - Also 5G support is missing and waiting for google to push the patch in india
                - pixel body is very slippery

In general I felt google should tried TSMC to avoid heating

Amransh07, 15 Oct 2022Phone was good. My first day I did three time full charge. ... moreThank you for this information. If battery is terrible, the entire thing is terrible. The point of having a portable device is to take it with you for as long as possible without having to plug it in for charging several times a day. If there's one aspect that people really needs objectively—in any phone—is long-lasting battery life.

You can argue all day about image quality against other phones but the battery endurance will speak for itself. The advertising money should be invested in long lasting battery technology.

This comment would have been invalid if—in this day and age—phone batteries don't last two or three days. But we do have those in the market right now: Sony Xperia 10 IV (163h), Xiaomi Poco M3 (154h), and Realme 6i (186h).

Phone was good. My first day I did three time full charge. I'm very disappointed again 😡😠😠😠 for this battery.and I haven't played any games yet. Great phone need great battery without it all are useless. In the future I will never buy any pixel phone.

So Google tensor processors again are only as good as last years processors

It's a real sneakly way too make smartphones saying a smartphone good because it's got it's own unique processor

If the Google pixel had a Snapdragon 888 I beat people be mad but that processor probably still better than Google tensor 2

I checked processors tier list Snapdragon 888 is still better than Google tensor even the second one

Own built in house crappy processors Google and yeah you're going get 5 years updates but on small battery size just not going to age well

Basically a underpowered so called flagship that's really just a overpriced smartphone
Only paying for brand name and looks that's going suffer with future battery problems and get so many new system updates with new Android versions with higher system requirements it's going make the smartphone suffer with performance as well

How about the battery? Does it even score an endurance rating above 100?
If so, this is a better buy than the new Mate 50 and Mate 50 Pro.
