It showed the phone still had 1 year factory warranty. A private seller from no where certainly is not a google authorized re-seller.

The phone just died after 9 months of use. It was bought from Amazon, so Google denied warranty saying Amazon is an unauthorised dealer( is Amazon even aware of this??)
Amazon also did not help replace/ repair/ refund.
Stay away from Pixel 7 pro!

This phone is good for all the great reviews it has received but ONLY UNTIL IT DOESN'T BEGIN TO FACE ANY ISSUES.
I bought this phone in Bharat through the official marketing agent in Bharat, Flipkart. This is what did me in. Have been enjoying this phone until about a week ago. Out of the blue the screen has started flickering. I cannot understand for the life of me, why this is happening - I never dropped the phone on hard surfaces, never kept it on overnight charging.
I was smug in my belief that being a Google product, I'll never face any issues - have been proven WRONG. Firstly the invoice clearly states that there is only a domestic warranty. I am out of India at least until November, so I'm now stuck with the issue. Secondly, whenever I contact the seller (Flipkart) they promptly direct me to Google help & FAQs pages. Here comes the REAL problem - Google help pages does everything but help. I need India specific service centre details where I can get the screen display repaired / replaced (as he case may be). Nowhere in any of these so called help pages can I get the specifc details.
In a nutshell, before shelling out any amount for any product, please do a careful research about after sales service and DO NOT DEPEND UPON ANY REVIEWS (good / bad).

This a first class true flagship phone. My past flagship phones were, s20 plus, s21 then switched to iphone 12 pro max and now on pixel 7 pro. The camera is just unbeatable, my friend's 13 pro max sometimes suffers from over exposer. Sure, his video is quite impressive but p7pro is not bad either. Infact it's close or can record better in some areas. I shoot vlogs, make reels and some travel video. I have a canon r10 which I only use occasionally only for the 85mm lense but for video, pixel is on the go for me. People complain about network issues, i had it on android 13 but it wasn't major. After a14 beta 5, it's better now.

I recently switched to Pixel 7Pro from Xiaomi 12s Ultra, because I switched to spectrum, which is much better network in my area, and goes without saying Xiaomis don't work with CDMA services, at least the bands Verizon provides.
Xiaomi can have all the hardware they way and Leica brand as well. But photography of Pixel is way beyond what Xiaomi can do. Specially the night shot taken by Pixel are amazing, more light and more defitinition and way less noise compared to 12s Ultra.

How I wish the hardware of Oppo Find X6 pro had Google Pixel 7 pro Software.
I guess you cannot have the best of both worlds. But I value Hardware quality more than Software.
That's what made OnePlus a niche segment Good hardware Good custom ROM "Evolution X & Pixel experience." But decided to look their bootloader just like Opplus lost their niche.
We will wait for Pixel 12 series when it will have good hardware;
-faster charging
-good cooling system
-snapdragon chipset
-ir more useful not thermometer
-reliable network & battery life
Just like Oppo's flagships 🤞

You know one thing about google is update,so when the phone keeps updating on its own,it reduces the battery.that why you will not know when the phone is updating on its own.

Have you used a custom launcher? Try reading about 'android customization' and custom launcher.
"I can't have a 3.5 headphone jack? Google forces you to buy expensive google dongle."
Actually, no. Any cheap USB C to 3.5mm dongle with built in DAC will do. The magic word is 'with built in DAC. "

Mohammed Sayed, 04 Sep 2023Waste of money buying Google Pixel Phones 1. Poor Battery ... moreThe Pixel actually isn't a waste of money if a user absolutely wants the best camera on a phone bar none. It's actually better than the latest iPhones and Samsung flagship phones when it comes to photography. As for other aspects (screen, battery life, features, processor power, 5G support and flexibility [screensharing, DEX mode, software features like network band selection, etc.]), a lot other phones offer better value for the money and are better equipped than the Pixel.

Not worth the money. The google Search bar takes too much space and there are no option to remove it. Why are users forced to have this huge search bar on their screen. I don't have this issue on A cheep Xiaomi or other android phone.
2. At this price point I can't have a 3.5 headphone jack? I must buy a Bluetooth device? Again cheaper phones have 3.5 jacks or cheap usb c dongle. Google forces you to buy expensive google dongle.
I will never buy a pixel again.

Waste of money buying Google Pixel Phones
1. Poor Battery Backup: The most frustrating aspect of this phone is its abysmal battery life. Despite being a flagship device, it struggles to last through a day of regular usage. Frequent charging becomes a necessity, which is not what you'd expect from a high-end smartphone.
2. Overheating Issues: The overheating problem is a major concern. During prolonged usage or even when running basic apps, the phone tends to get uncomfortably hot. This not only affects user comfort but raises concerns about the long-term durability of the device.
3. Lack of Features: In comparison to its competitors, the Pixel 7 Pro feels lackluster in terms of features. Google has fallen behind in the race, especially when compared to what Samsung offers. For instance, the absence of live wallpapers is a small but noticeable disappointment.
Conclusion:
In my personal experience, the Pixel 7 Pro falls short of expectations. While its camera performance is commendable, it's overshadowed by significant drawbacks like poor battery life, overheating issues, and a lack of standout features. Given its high price point, I expected a lot more from Google's flagship phone. As it stands, I can't help but feel that I've wasted my money on this purchase. If you're considering buying a high-end smartphone, I'd recommend exploring other options in the market that offer a more balanced package of features and performance.

ShaShikha, 30 Aug 2023I'm using S22 Ultra but interested in this phone, Is i... moreIf 5G is important to you, don't switch or better yet, avoid any Pixel phone (not just the Pixel 7 Pro). Google has disabled 5G capability in unsupported countries. Wait out for the Pixel 8 Pro since it may have better cameras, longer software update support, and may have 5G enabled even in unsupported countries. But as of now, not recommended to switch since the S22 ultra actually has longer software update support and has 5G which the Pixel 7 Pro will likely not have unless you live in one of the VERY FEW supported countries.
