I fail to understand why so many place such importance on arbitrary concepts like software updates instead of important objects like headphone jack and microSD card and obviously a TSCM made chip.

Dexzalight , 22 May 2023Go get older phones please No need for older phone. Sony xperia 1 V will have aux and sd card I think. But sony lacks support for their phones after 2-3years~. So if you planning to stick longer with your phone It's a consideration.

If a consumer chooses some other brand to Pixel 7a just because it lacks 3.5mm audio jack, will it not amount to lost opportunity and lost sales of Google. What's wrong if it has one? A genuine reply would be appreciated.

Anonymous, 19 May 2023Buy yourself a HTC U23 Pro then. Many smartphones, cameras, and tablets still use micro SD cards for memory expansion. Many laptops, desktops, and some audio devices still have 3.5 mm jacks.

anonymous, 19 May 2023+++++++++++. Please report trollers talking non sense about... moreNo, microSD cards are not outdated. They are still widely used as a convenient way to expand storage capacity in many devices, including smartphones, cameras, and tablets. However, some newer devices may not include a microSD card slot and instead rely solely on internal storage or cloud-based storage options. The 3.5 mm audio jack, also known as the headphone jack, is becoming less common in newer devices such as smartphones, which are increasingly using wireless audio solutions. However, it is still present in many other devices such as laptops, desktop computers, and some audio equipment. Additionally, many people still use wired headphones and speakers that require a 3.5 mm jack. So while it is not as widely used as it once was, the 3.5 mm jack is not yet considered completely outdated.

It basically has everything: IR blaster, headphone jack, SD card slot, dual sim, dual camera, tiny "second screen" on the front, and even a swappable battery! But still, it's in my drawer. I prefer my S20FE. It's so good. And my Pixel 7a is coming. (While my S20FE still has CAD4xx trade-in value after 2 years of use. I traded it for my family's S23.)

Again, it's a good phone, but it gets hot and the lack of an aux jack is a bit annoying.
