It doesn't take a genius to figure out that smartphone brands remove the headphone jack and microSD card slot so that they want you to pay more for their wireless earbuds and cloud storage. That is why I still applaud Sony for keeping real common sense and not following such a cash-grab trend.

Also, why does cloud storage still use tapes for data backup when pretty much everyone has long abandoned VHS tapes? So much for the headphone jack and microSD card slot being "dead". If anything, more and more people keep on demanding to have them back on modern smartphones.

such slow charging speeds is so decade-old.
Having been spoilt by super fast charging speeds on much lesser phones, for the past 5 years, I dont think I can ever return to "slow" charging speeds.

gorilla glass 5 was a lot stronger than gorilla glass 3 because 5 rarely came in for repair.
i also owned 2 phones now with gorilla glass 5 and despite some insane drops the screen never broke.
curved screens such as iPhone 8 or especially form factor of samsung s7 edge for example, do break more easily despite strong reinforced such as gorilla glass 5.
it is interesting to know that almost all 3rd party repairshops will replace a screen with the thinnest glass possible, even though they'll say the qcreen is original.... or they'll use a refurbished screen with a replaced glass that is super sensitive to breaking.
screen repair industry is one of the biggest scams out there in the world of phone repairs. batteries will often also not be original and even replacement parts such as charging port can make a repaired or refurbished phone dangerous to use.
oled also breaks more quickly than good quality ips. so thats another plus for IPS, besides causing less eyestrain (no pwm dimming !)
maybe latest generation good quality oled can more easily with stand a fall and is as robust as good quality ips these days, i am 'not sure.

Google pixel A series are not the same quality to regular series due to downgrade of front glass protection from corning gorilla glass 5 to 3 which easily break.
