Wonderful phone but:
Speakers are rubbish, screen basals are way too thick, it makes the phone feel like it's 2017 all over again.
At a direct sunlight you can see the lens of the selfie camera and how the notch is way bigger that it needs to be.
I keep pressing the turn screen off by mistake, I wish the volume button was on the opposite side, like most phones, I wish there was a sliding button for mods.
There are few weird UI that I simply can't understand, for example, when pulling from tge bottom for the screen where all the last apps are open, you have to scroll it all the way to the left if you want to close them all in the same time.. weird, why not on the bottom of this screen? Why can't you lock the screen layout built in to Android in 2025??
Battery - I have to charge twice a day and the charging speed is terrible..
The phone is solid but these annoyances makes it feel like an old phone, I really hope google will address these issues otherwise, I'm back to Oneplus where non of that exists.

Great phone and it looks unigue.
One thing i don't get about the talks of the button layout. I prefer the volume rocker under the power button and i don't even use the power button that often to open and locking the screen, for years i have used the screen double tap and what the power button enabels as a shortcut...wel they are on the screen as well and doesnt't take that much more of an effort.

I would rather ask questions and ask for opinions than pretend to know. That is more dangerous IMHO. So, stop trolling me.

If you've truly done research, you wouldn't be asking dumb questions or wouldn't try to spread misinformation such as ~ removing user privilege files = removing spyware.
That's your fact, regardless of what your dumb "belief" is :)

Anonymous, 18 Apr 2025You don't have much clue about spyware and how it work... moreMy "beliefs" are based on experience and my own research. And for the record i do not accept the term "trolling". It's a term invested by frustrated people who don't accept or don not like others opinions. Let me put it back to you. if you don't believe what people are saying or asking here all you do is close the tab and go elsewhere. My purpose here is seek advice, give opinions and create healthy discussions. You don't like it? You jog on.

Gino76ph, 08 Apr 2025There are ways to get rid of or disable those spywares and ... moreIs it a rocket science for you to understand simple things such as you can't completely remove windows/mac spy system services without admin permission?
You problem is you ask craps without actually doing your own research tho I highly doubt you'd learn anything from the device when ya keep changing your device every week.
You ask questions, and gave ya answers.
If you aren't happy with it, you either do your own research in order to support your argument or go with your own belief rather than arguing baseless.
It was mentioned previously that you can only temporarily disable things within user privilege, not the other things with root privilege unless (already mentioned previously).

But I wonder if that so, why can't you just decide your own phone based on your "belief" as well or are you just trolling around?

I bought the Pixel 9 Pro in October, 2024. Today in April 2025, I'm using a Xiaomi 15 I ordered from China. My Pixel 9 Pro developed a bright green line on the screen and later a bright magenta line, which all online sources say is a hardware fault, and I am just done with Pixel. This is my second Pixel with a defective display, my Pixel 7 also had to be returned.
People depends on their phones, and when you pay flagship level prices, you expect the login the phone to be at minimum well-made. This is not the case with Google, who make shoddy hardware. The software experience does not make up for it, and honestly, the AI "features" were all useless trash that I barely touched, anyway.
The Xiaomi 15 is a great replacement for a premium-quality small phone and also by buying Chinese directly, you're not supporting the United States, which is also a bonus.

Bane K., 05 Apr 2025You know, if you see trend with each generation. From first... morePersonally will never stick with any of these overpriced flagship devices as it costs too much (not that I cannot afford it, but can't understand spending so much for a phone), and what if breaks one day (usually breaks right after guarantee period expires)?
My cheap device is so far giving me more than I need.
Anyways, everone is free to choose whatever the device they want to.

From first gen HTC and LG's failing hardware and second gen, and through all generation to 7-8 generation not being good, you just can expect 9 to be good :). SO my advice is stick to Iphone or another brand, i just use Honor, cause i'm used to Android

After being disappointed with my Pixel 8 (small screen, so-so speakers, washed out display, so-so performance) i bought an iPhone 16 Pro. Couldn't get along with it so i sold it.
My question: Is a Pixel 9 Pro a good upgrade over the Pixel 8?
or wait for the Pixel 9a?
or get the Galaxy S25/S25+ instead?
* my priorities are specs that are more better (albeit slightly) than the Pixel 8 on cameras, performance, battery life, speakers & audio, etc.

The best thing going for this one is it's size, the flagships have become so gigantic lately... At least the Pixel 9 Pro is only 6.3inch.
