I'm quite surprised by how easily the front display scratches. It feels like using a phone from the 2000s.
And the software is quite unstable.
If I could do it again, I'd probably get a Sammy fold.

      After using this for a while I'm very satisfied, cameras are okay, since I'm not a social media attention slut I don't care too much. Big screen feels a bit uneven and front screen lacks quality, it feels like using a budget phone sometimes.

          Regarding this phone's review:

          Not a flagship-grade cameraphone? But this one can do proper astrophotography.
          The space between the hinge etc? Damn, almost all of the foldables are like that.
          The assymetry between the right side and the left side? Almost all book-style foldables are like that.
          Only give a plus points over the GZF6 because of 5x telephoto vs 3x? Hello, the ones that the P9PF has is a PERISCOPE telephoto.


          The overall quality of its images are BETTER than what GZF6 can produce.

          Here are the things that the GZF6 is better:
          1. Its well established ecosystem across all of Samsung's smart gadgets and the foldable aspect is perfectly integrated with OneUI but Google is learning.
          2. CPU
          3. Speaker sound quality
          4. The feel of folding it. It feels strong and durable.
          5. Video quality.

          I can't seem to understand why gsmarena is so hard on this Pixel by pointing out some stuff that even the GZF6 has.
          And this is why watching youtube reviews by some real and not paid reviewers are better over some reviews here in this site.

                Go look at his last comments on site. Ultra deffenive on chinese brands and ultra offensive on western brands comment threads? Is that how should we communicate? With calling people stupid because their preference is to buy a smaller phone which he can't stand and with obvious reason. There's not a lot of that kind of option in china brands.

                It's okay to critisize the phone, but he likes to dehumanize people with his answers. Is that okay with you?

                I accept your opionon and respect it. Captain is not. When he see opposite thinking from his, he has an urge to "kill" them in comments, because he can't stand several points of view. It can be only one. His. But the way he's doing it... Wow.

                      And yes, looks are subjective, but I also agree with what he said, the design seems ugly compared to most Chinese foldables. The whole metal frame around the front display seems very unnatural.... as if it's a case and not part of the phone.

                        Not to be a negative Nancy, but you can get the OnePlus open. Which looks better in almost every regard/ or about the same (spec and design wise) for under $1100, and this google phone is $1800..... Wtf

                                a new samsung zfold competitor, they both suck and are too expensive.

                                  these cameras' ~10megapixel rating and yet another sub-5000mAh battery have my hopes dashed about this one. the screen can hardly even be called Xl yet the energy-use will be severe regardless. The Li-po batteries of recent pixel devices are also scaring me away from trying another any time soon. I'm sad for the US/Can phone markets right now :/

The important thing is that the Pixel 9 pro fold is wide and taller. So I can comfortably view both the sufficiently wide covering external display and the internal flexible display. This is the reason why I refused to buy a Galaxy from the fold6 because of the unusably narrow external display. I don't mind a few grams or larger sizes at all, on the contrary, I enjoy them.
