Google Pixel Watch 2's key specs leak, could launch in India
The Google Pixel Watch launched last October came with the Exynos 9110 SoC at the helm. However, a few months ago, we heard the Pixel Watch 2 would ditch Exynos for the Snapdragon W5 Series chip. It was unclear whether that would be the W5 or W5+ Gen 1 SoC. But if Android Authority is believed, the second-gen Pixel Watch will be powered by the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 platform.
The new chip should bring efficiency improvements to the Google Pixel Watch 2, which, paired with a tad larger battery (306 mAh vs. 294 mAh), should result in better battery life than the first-gen Pixel Watch.
The publication also claims that the Google Pixel Watch 2 will have massive black bezels like its predecessor, but the smartwatch will pack a 1.2" circular OLED screen of 384x384-pixel resolution sourced from Samsung Display instead of BOE.
Furthermore, the Google Pixel Watch 2 will run Android 13-based Wear OS 4 out of the box with dynamic theming and support seamless updates, which would be a first for a smartwatch. The Pixel Watch 2 will also come with ultra-wideband (UWB), which could allow the Pixel Watch 2 to be used for precise device finding, car unlocking using Digital Car Key, and seamless media playback transfer to a docked Pixel Tablet or a future UWB-enabled Nest speaker.
The source also shared the retail animation that will be shown on the Google Pixel Watch 2's demo units. You can watch it below.
Last year's Pixel Watch wasn't launched in India, but that could change this year since the regulatory e-labels for the Pixel Watch 2's models (G4TSL, GC3G8, GD2WG) now include an entry for the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Whether or not Google will expand the availability of its smartwatch to other countries remains to be seen.
More details about the Google Pixel Watch 2 will likely surface in the coming weeks. In the meantime, you can check the Pixel Watch 2's leaked watch faces here.

Clean and minimalistic is not girly. If it is, then dirty, hugged, and sophisticated must represent men right? Because men are so tough and dirty
