Google's Gemini AI now has a memory

Back in February, OpenAI announced that ChatGPT would be getting a memory feature that would allow it to remember you and your past chats with it. Today, Google has released something very similar for Gemini.

You can now ask Gemini to remember your interests and preferences, helping the chatbot to provide "even more helpful and relevant responses, tailored precisely to your needs", Google's official release notes say.

You can share stuff you want it to remember either through natural conversation or on the dedicated Saved Info page, where you can always view, edit, or delete anything you've shared with Gemini. Gemini will let you know whenever it makes use of your saved info.

This is currently only available in English with Gemini Advanced as part of the Google One AI Premium Plan. If you choose to use this feature, Google promises you'll get "more consistent, predictable results without repeating the same details".
