Grab the Sony Xperia XA Ultra for just $229.99, today only

Vlad, 05 December 2016

Sony launched the Xperia XA Ultra in the US back in July, for a recommended retail price of $369.99 unlocked. In the meantime, we've seen that going down to just under $300 at one point, but if you're interested in this big selfie-focused phablet then you can't miss today's deal.

B&H will sell you an Xperia XA Ultra for just $229.99 if you act before the day is over. The device is still carrier unlocked and can be used with GSM-based carriers. Furthermore, this is the North American version of the phone, with the model number F3213, which means it should support most bands for most of those GSM-based carriers.

From tomorrow the price is set to go up to $329.99, so you're saving $100 if you do buy today. The XA Ultra has a 6-inch 1080p touchscreen, a 16 MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture, autofocus, OIS, and a LED flash, a 21.5 MP f/2.2 rear camera with phase detection autofocus and LED flash, and a 2,700 mAh battery. It's powered by the MediaTek Helio P10 chipset, aided by 3GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. It runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

But 6" + 2700 mAh = poor battery performance. $330 for a selfie camera MediaTurd Hellno phone is still too high but that's Sony for ya.

"The competition"? Actually it seems like you're doing that for Sony, and I'm not tied to any brand. I buy anything that's good, so no to Apple, Sony or LG.
