OnePlus 10 Pro's new LTPO 2.0 display detailed

Yordan, 10 January 2022

OnePlus 10 Pro is confirmed to arrive tomorrow with an LTPO 2.0 AMOLED - an evolution of last year’s panel. The low-temperature polycrystalline oxide display can lower the frequency to 1Hz for battery-saving purposes, and while it wasn't applicable everywhere last year, the 2.0 version will expand that and increase the battery savings.

A video shows how the new OnePlus LTPO2 panel reduces the refresh rate to 1Hz when displaying still images like a picture, the home screen or the settings menu. The devices it's compared to cannot go that low more often than not.

We can recognize the Xiaomi 12 Pro on the left and the Samsung Galaxy S21+ flagship on the right in this video.

Pete Lau, OnePlus CEO and co-founder, called his company “the leader in the screen industry”, and will be the first one with the new panel that is manufactured by Samsung Display.
