It took less than half a hour to flash TWRP + LineageOS, the phone is running with Android 13 very smoothly, it seems another device compared to the previous Lagsung A8 stock rom. Now it's actually usable good as a second/backup phone :D

even if you're not, your S7 could start functionating bad because you haven't updated to software, or cleared caché, the point is that Samsung devices doesn't start to slow down after the first year of use.
I've asked first if you were from the US, since that market got the Qualcomm 820 variant that was worse than the Exynos 8890 variant, and still have had other issues.

I've had this phone for at least 5 years. Overall, Samsung phones work great in the first year and slowly decline. Loading was unbearably long. It took at least 10 minutes to be ready for anything if I shut it off and turned it back on again. Text messages could take 5 minutes or more to arrive. This year it just started having issues texting images or sending texts to groups. I've just purchased a Motorola smartphone instead. If they aren't any better, I'm going to Apple. My daughter's IPhone was originally my husband's and it works like new after 4+ years. I'm tired of spending so much money on devices that purposely self destruct.

I bought my Samsung S7 in 2017 just after S8 was released. I just upgraded it to S22+ not because it is not working anymore but because I felt the need for an upgrade. Thus, I've been using it for almost 7 years and it is still working fine. Its camera is much better when compared to some A-series.

Only main issue that I was having is its battery life. It would last max 14 Hours and it was slow sometimes. Also, its internal memory was getting just full because, nowadays, many apps take lots of space and cannot be transferred to external storage.

Overall, it is still very usable and durable. I even once took pictures with it under water. I just waited for it to dry and before charging.

It is one of the best phones I owned and captured lot of memories with it. Very good camera, very responsive, external storage and durable. It made me a fan of Samsung S-series. Despite my recent upgrade to S22+, there are certain intelligent things that I miss in my S7. Those who migrated from S7 toS 22+ or maybe earlier/recent S-series would know.

I just opened my galaxy S7 box for the first time. Bought in 2016, Opened 2023. Love the "throwback" to a simpler phone. LMK if anyone would like to buy it. All I have done so far is update apps and system.

Still using this phone in 2023, using LineageOS and have no complaints except the camera quality and the joke of a battery ;but them's the breaks I suppose.
