GSMArena smartphone buyer's guide: 2015 Holiday Edition
2015 Holiday Edition
Final words
It's that time of the year again where price cuts will make you consider changing your phone even if you didn't think you needed one last month. Rest assured, we've been there. It's also the season of giving and while for the most part we stick to smart bands and classic watches, sometimes an older smartphone might actually turn out to be a great present for a close relative, who doesn't insist on having the latest and greatest and in these cases, we would gladly oblige.
What we mean to say is that while curiosity may take you to the €500+ page, a €200 or so smartphone will probably be a fine purchase too.
The opposite is quite true as well - a modern smartphone rivals computers in performance and digital cameras in image quality, so going up the pricing ladder usually gets you a device that's this much better. You just have to find the rung of the ladder where the product will be good enough for you. If today's flagships are too much, usually last year's version of the same model will almost always do the job. If it's still too expensive, go back another year.
At the end, whatever phone you settle on, just make sure to pick one you will enjoy.
