HMD Skyline, OnePlus Nord 4, Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip debut, Week 29 in review

Xiaomi held a major event this week, unveiling a long line of devices. The highlights were the Mix Fold 4 and the Mix Flip - the latter its first flip foldable ever. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 is impressively thin and light at just 226 grams, 4.59mm unfolded and 9.47 mm in its folded state. Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 comes in black, white, and blue colors. Pricing starts at CNY 8,999 ($1,237) for the 12/256GB trim and goes up to CNY 9,999 ($1,375) for the 16/512GB.

The Xiaomi Mix Flip has the joint biggest cover display at 4.01-inch and the joint biggest battery at 4,780mAh. It runs a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and has two 50MP shooters - a wide angle and a 2x zoom.

The HMD Skyline arrived with repairability in focus. You can unlatch the phone's rear panel and get inside to change the battery with just a Torx T3 screw. iFixit has the tutorial on its website. The €500/$500/£500 phone has a Nokia N9-inspired design, a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip, a 6.5-inch 144Hz OLED, and a 4,600mAh battery with wireless charging.

The OnePlus Nord 4 brought an all-metal body, Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip, and a huge 5,500mAh battery with 100W charging. In Europe the OnePlus Nord 4 costs £429/€499 for the 12/256 GB version, while the top 16/512 GB option is priced at £529/€599.

The Pixel 9 will have a 50MP Samsung GNK 1/1.3-inch main camera, a 1/2.51-inch Sony IMX858 50MP ultrawide, and a 10.5MP focusing selfie on the opposite side. The Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL will have the same 50MP main camera, two 50MP IMX858 sensors for the ultrawide and zoom cameras, and another IMX858 for the selfie. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold will have a Sony IMX787 64MP wide camera, a 12MP Samsung 3LU ultrawide, 10.5MP Samsung 3J1 telephoto, and a 10MP selfie.
