Most phones are fine even if submerged accidentally regardless of whether they hold an ip68 certification or not. And the reverse is valid too, an IP68 rated device can and does build up corrosion if you expose it to dampness over a long enough period not even submersion. Seen it happen Same with screen glass - it might not have a "named" protection and still hold up just as fine for years. It's nice to have some named glass and ip rating officially stated for your peace of mind, but those also often create a false sense of security. If phone manufacturers were truly as confident in their durability standards, they would offer to repair or replace your device under warranty when those same standards happened to fail you. And I don't know many that would do that if any.

I want it bare, just use silicone back and it worked so far for me, never had a shattered screen. I drop them on regular basis as anyone else. That's why I take off fabric protection, but since huawei doesn't even want to disclose what kind of glass they use, I'm quite skeptical

Never broke a panel on any one of them and not for the lack of mistreatment. Pretty much 5 out of 10 times I get out my car I forget the phone is in my lap and drop it on asphalt to point an example of abuse. Not sure if their glass is reinforced or not but it has worked for me for the past 12-13 years. I keep my old p40 lite (no marketing fluff about the glass protection for that one I don't think) around as a backup phone and I've specifically treated that one's screen with the least amount of respect of any phone I ever had. Still like new under the original plastic protector (I never use glass screen covers; they suck).

It is good that it is 12g lighter than the Honor 200 while having 100mAh more battery. It would be great if its successor could be another 10g or more lighter at the same or slightly less battery capacity.

Besides if You take care of your phone and don't have butter fingers, then there's no problem, IS THERE? 🙄

This phone is executive enough(slim) but has one major drawback, it lacks toughened screen like gorilla or giant rhino..

thank god I invested on the honor 200 at a way cheaper price which comes with a second 50mp telephoto camera. No regrets on missing out the 300 series. The base model is rubbish with higher price that the honor 200. The pro and ultra has nothing to do with 200 series in resemblance. Its totally different phones.

disappointing move by the base honor 200! still in sd 7 g3 (it was the same thing as last year), the design is cool, but the rest of the specs are nothing different.
