For a 2017 phone, the low lights camera capability is quiet good, its even on par with iphone 7 plus and sometimes better, even without OIS. I dont have any complains for the price.

The volume of this device is very low even kept on high. That is the only issue as well as low light camera performance. Otherwise the performance is very good..

Also, I tried to download the 108 MB update but it failed as it is an unauthorized package....when I bought the phone, it had emui 5.1 and Android 7, after the update i have emui 8 and Android 8 as well...so, should I try the other 2,7 GB package or just let it go?

If u come from emui 5.1, then u have to use the 2.7gb full download.

Shui8, 21 Apr 2018If u already have oreo, just pick the smallest file OTA update. Yes, I have Oreo, but you said the latest version is 8.0.0.362 and this is 8.0.0.363....the latest and smallest in size update file is 108 MB and is OTA-MF (the other one is 2,74 GB and FullOTA-MF)....so, is this it?

Agreed, oreo update is much mo smoother, wait a few days, battery improved significantly because of the AI system... best thing is, can change resolution to FHD.

Tried to update through firmware finder and the update went just fine. However I have a question....the update with the face unlock feature in build 8.0.0.362 is the last update available or is there any newer one?

Stop complaining? I think I have a right to. I spent nearly £500 on a phone that has never been supported by Huawei since it was released. My phone is unlocked to all networks, so if the update doesn't arrive in the UK then the fault lies with Huawei, not the carrier. I've explained to you before that the Oreo update is only being released in Asia, Huawei has stuck two fingers up to the rest of the world.

Yup received 7 security update patches already without using 3rd party app. Didnt i explain to u already in the previous post? Stop complaining and take action, i'm just suggest alternatives available. Its not huawei's fault its ur local telco fault, use another telco brand or wifi connection and try update.
