Can save y... moreBased on your usage I will say the phone gets warm on any of the continuous usage of more than 30 mins except Music... but warm, not hot. If you use a back cover then you can feel less of it. Single charge will definitely keep you throughout the day. Camera in Low light is avg until you use the flash. camera in day time is excellent. Rest all the department is very good.I'd recommend the latest View 10 instead of H8P.

Honor is very very lazy in providing timely updates. Even my old Samsung Galaxy J2 is running with Jan 18 Security patch whereas this Flagship device I purchased in last Jul is running on Sep 17 security patch.
Not happy with Honor

Hi, I am from Kolkata, India. I got the OREO Update 2 days back. Its really cool with UI changes, some added animation, better power management, better camera features, and better looking widgets. No Heating Issue so far. Only thing not working is some Live Wallpapers.

Quite a lot bloatware has been added in form of EA games offerings but everything is uninstallable, Battery life seems to be marginally better now.

Recieved the 2.8gb Oreo update in India.
Stable, January security patch, Few added features in camera, game suite
and few Ui changes here and there, good update.

I am using the European version of h8p for the last week and I have to say that the device is doing really well by now, even with use for gaming, YouTube and everything else....I don't know what is the price difference between it and the honor view 10, but here the difference is 125€ (420€ for h8p and 545€ for hv10) and so I chose h8p....what do you have to say from your side?

is it still worth buying with view 10 out? how bad is the heating issue , i play mortal combat and injustice 2 a lot , will the chipset be good enough for a couple of years for gaming?

thats a reasonable note.
the thing is that I need a snappy phone with a good camera which the H8Pro will surely guarentee. And the price difference is just 2000 Indian Rupees/31 US Dollar.
So if heating is above 41-42 dc I thought i would go for Sony. else Honor.
Can you please make that clear to me?

both generate heat upto 45-47Deg.Cel. in aound 15 min.
Even after the update-fix, its the same.
Can others please share your experiences?

absolutely not. I have been using it past 4-5 months and its pretty hot even after the Bug Fix update. it easily touches 42dc. if you use the camera for 2-3 min, it will be at 40. i dont know why so even after the update. I took it for a tour and had to take a lot of photos but i couldn't: the phone was uncomfortable to hold after 15 min of Camera use!! thats absolutely disappointing right? I am waiting for the Oreo: that may solve this or at least reduce the degree of affect! if not, I will sell this and go for other ones.

Hello Great H8P users.
Please give a glance here and help.
Im planning to have a phone-upgrade.
I have two options in front-- Honor 8 pro and Sony XA1Plus...
H8p is definitely much promising on paper. But some Cons are seen mentioned invariably across reviews!! So this will be my final resort.
My Daily-usage habits go like:
#1. Call- total ~3 Hrs; of which 1 Hr at a stretch is typical part of my job.
#2. Youtube- ~1Hr 30Min at a stretch
#3. A. Browsing- ~1-2 Hr a day
B. Gmail- Hourly check.
#4. A. Camera- Only still photos as part of my job (like, may be some 30 Clicks forenoon),
B. Video call over whatsapp- ~25- Mins a day.
#5. Document Editing- ~10-15 Mins (just a page to type dailly)
* Absolutely no FB no Gaming or anything like that.
* I usually keep my phone in power saving mode (Asus now)
* I dont keep the Data Always-On. Nor gps. I need them only when I use them
* I dont keep apps on RAM unless when i use. (may be except Gmail and Browser).
...As I am intolerant to Phone-Heating i am sceptical about H8P.
?.. Does the phone heat up much in any of the above mentioned use-patterns?
..Especially during extended phone call or data connection like browsing, Youtube.
..By Heating i mean anything above 40-41 DegCel.
?.. Does it heat up to 40C doring normal usage like short call or sms or gmail check?
?.. Can I expect a single charge to last from 8 AM to 8 PM with this kind of use on H8P?
Please put some insights. Thanks.
