Honor brings DeepSeek integration to its YOYO assistant

AI is the tech gold rush at the moment. Everyone has their own on-device AI assistant and they're getting smarter and smarter. Newcomer DeepSeek is seemingly at the forefront at the minute, becoming the first choice for a few smartphone makers.

First, Huawei announced that it's bringing DeepSeek integration to its cloud services, and now Honor has unveiled that it's bringing DeepSeek directly into its YOYO smart assistant in China. Oppo's upcoming Find N5 will also feature DeepSeek integration.

Starting now, Honor smartphones running MagicOS 8.0 and above can upgrade their YOYO assistant to use the advanced DeepSeek-R1 model. Users need to have YOYO version 80.0.1.503 or higher, wake it up, swipe up from the bottom of their smartphones to get into the "AI agent" section and select DeepSeek-R1.

Honor says that DeepSeek's model will enhance its assistant's capabilities with deep thinking, intelligent interaction, and personalized services.

relying on machines is making people worse in terms of their colors. not ai (or any other form of intelligence) but peoples' selfiesness is more harmful to people and not anything else.
