Honor brings out a cheaper 80 Pro in China
Honor's rumored cheaper 80 Pro is now official in China. It looks very similar to the ongoing Honor 80 Pro but there are some key differences.
The biggest change is the flat display. It's still a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel that refreshes at 120Hz, but has lower 2400x1080px resolution.
Built into the display is a single, lower-res, 32MP selfie camera in place of the 50MP + 2MP combo on the original Pro.
The rear camera system is also different. The 160MP main camera is joined by an inferior 8MP ultrawide camera with fixed-focus instead of the autofocusing 50MP. The 2MP depth sensor is still here.
Powering the new Honor 80 Pro is still the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset with up to 12GB of RAM. The battery has 4,800mAh capacity and supports 66W charging. Software-wise, the Honor 80 Pro runs Android 12 underneath MagicOS 7.
The flat-screen Honor 80 Pro will be sold in brick-and-mortar stores and online. It's on shelves today in Black, Green, and Pink, priced CNY 3,599 for the 12/256GB model.

if you are going cheap why not go for MediaTek or even midrange Qualcomm chipset rather than the heating factory Snapdragon .
