Honor launched the GT in December of last year, and followed it up with the GT Pro in April, and we already heard some tidbits about their successors last month.

Today we get more details about the GT 2 Pro, which is supposedly coming with a battery that will have at least 8,500 mAh capacity. It allegedly boasts a 6.83-inch LTPS flat OLED screen with "1.5K" resolution, a 50MP main camera, a "small telephoto", a metal frame, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.

It's said to employ Qualcomm's latest and greatest chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and is "tentatively" scheduled to become official in December, which, if true, means its predecessor only got around eight months on the market.

Compared to the original GT Pro, the GT 2 Pro has a newer chipset, a bigger screen, and a larger battery, all of which will undoubtedly be welcome upgrades. However, it remains to be seen whether the price will also increase alongside these better specs. We'll keep you posted.
