Honor Magic6 and Magic5 series get a new update with loads of improvements

Honor's Magic6 and Magic5 series of smartphones have now started receiving a new update in the form of MagicOS 9.0.0.169.

This improves the camera experience, and also comes with added support for Android Auto, a new Wi-Fi password input feature, and there are some improvements for the personal hotspot too. The haptic feedback for apps is better as well.

Double-tap to turn off the screen is enhanced, and you can turn on the flashlight function from the lock screen. You can also block calls from virtual operators and there's a new Hide Apps feature which lets you do just what its name implies. The update includes the April 2025 security patches.

It's rolling out in batches so it will take a while before it reaches all eligible devices out there.
