Honor started separate from Huawei pushing to do good phones, now they have one of the best flagships on the market. The heat is great on the SD8 Gen.3 the Elite also seems to be dealing well and benchmarks on Magic6 Pro VS S24 Ultra are higher all across the board. Batery is better, software, once claimed as buggy, is better, so full of options that it might be too much even for me, but I disable what I don't use and optimize for it's great battery life. I can only imagine the Magic8 Pro, the only thing the 6 & 7 Pro were a bit behind when compared to S24 Ultra, iPhone 15 Pro Max , Vivo was the camera, still great for me, but was behind them a little. Now they are coocked!

Just got November update this afternoon it has stability improvements and new features for UI including transparent UI like liquid glass. It also has a new dock on homescreen

C636E4R3P1 stuck in 9.0.0.231 with not even monthly security patches in sight anymore.
Tried the presumed Chinese eSIM trick, changing the My Honor region and checking for updates from there, using a VPN… "Your software is up to date". Baffling.
Reminds me of the dark days of using carrier-locked phones and having to wait 'till the carrier finished ruining the OS update with their bloat and pushed it themselves months after unlocked phones had it.

Often I find images rather pixelated especially the zoom. Occasionally it can spit out a decent image and it's not bad in lowlight. Software updates are very slow hardly any new fixes or features just boring security patches one month behind. Can't wait to get rid of it

Hows eveyones battery life going atm?
Plus how well are the photos taken by this camera compared to its competitors during its time (oppo fx8, vivo x200 etc.)
The honor 8 pro is going to be released (or has already been) and I swear I've heard so many problems with this phone cpuple months after its release (notably the battery not promising).
