Honor Magic8 Lite is official, and it comes with a very big battery
Honor's Magic8 series has just grown with the official unveiling of the Magic8 Lite today, which we already unboxed back in November. As the name implies, this will be the cheapest member of the family, and it arrives as the successor to the Magic7 Lite, which got launched in January.
The Honor Magic8 Lite is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM. You can get it with 256GB and 512GB of storage. It boasts a 6.79-inch 1200x2640 OLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, 3,840Hz PWM dimming, and 6,000-nit peak brightness, a 108MP main camera, a 5MP ultrawide, a 16MP selfie snapper, and a massive 7,500 mAh battery with support for 66W wired charging.
The phone is IP66, IP68, and IP69K rated for dust and water resistance, and will be offered in Forest Green, Midnight Black, and Reddish Brown colorways. Honor says the Magic8 Lite can withstand being dropped from heights of up to 2.5m on certain surfaces like marble.
It measures 161.9 x 76.1 x 7.76 mm and weighs 189g. Disappointingly, it runs Android 15 with Honor's MagicOS 9 on top, even though Google released Android 16 in June - that's half a year ago already.
Pricing information hasn't been released yet, but Honor says the phone will be available in Europe in Jan 2026.

7500 mAh isn't a large battery anymore. "Very large" is so misleading and so clickbait, really gan? 8500-9000 is very large.

I prefer curved displays, but to each their own. It's not like they don't have flat alternatives to their curved counterparts.

So it's a g86 power with 4gb less of ram? You do get faster charging and slightly better resolution..... But likely at 150€+ more than the g86 power...
