Honor Magic8 series to feature a dedicated AI button

Ahead of its rumored October launch, Honor has shared new details about the upcoming Magic8 series.

The flagship series will offer powerful hardware that will use AI to deliver optimum performance when needed, Honor CEO James Li explained in a Weibo post. He added that the Magic8 series will run MagicOS 10 with a SOTA-level MagicGUI large language model.

MagicOS 10 will offer deeper AI integration that can automate a wide range of tasks. The Magic8 series will also bring improved ecosystem integration.

Meanwhile, a Chinese tipster has shared an image of a Magic8 series phone that shows a new button that’s supposedly meant for AI functions only. The tipster compares the side frame of Honor’s flagship with that of the upcoming iPhone 17.
