Honor Pad 9 in for review

Yordan, 25 February 2024

Honor introduced the Pad 9 (also known as Tablet 9) in China in the closing days of 2023. It is a big 12.1" tablet that is aimed at the education market.

The company has now launched the Honor Pad 9 internationally at the MWC and we have a unit here with us to review. We also got a Smart Bluetooth Keyboard, which will be sold separately, but with a discount if purchased in a bundle.

The Pad 9 is clearly intended to be used in horizontal orientation, given the position of the main camera on the back, as well as the front-facing one behind the wide bezel. The Bluetooth keyboard has magnets that allow the Pad 9 to stand in a position that will make it comfortable for a fairly short person, a kid, for example.

The device has two speakers on each side, and we can see a USB-C port for the 8,300 mAh battery. We received an EU adapter in the box that supports 35W Honor SuperCharge charging; the cable is provided as well.

Our unit of the Honor Pad 9 has 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, and there is no microSD slot. The tablet will cost £299.99 RRP or £349.99 with the keyboard and we'll have a verdict on whether it is worth it after we have completed our review. Stay tuned!

I got this tablet at half price as part of the magic6 pro release. It's a great thing with an amazing display but it is too big for use without a keyboard. To compound this honor have made the ridiculous decision not to sell the keyboard separ...
