The Honor Pad X7 feels like a device focused more on headline specs than overall user experience. While it looks good on paper with its 7020 mAh battery and 90Hz screen the slow 10W charging and aging snapdragon 680 processor are major bottlenecks. The Redmi Pad SE 8.7 is a better choice for casual users, students, or those seeking a portable media device. While it has less mAh (6650) compared to the Honor Pad X7, it does come with an 18W charger but the helio g85 is slightly worse than snapdragon 680 though but I will cut it some slack since it was released in 2024. If performance matters most for you then the Samsung Tab A9 remains a top-tier option in the entry-level segment, thanks to the Helio G99 and 8gb ram. While the battery size (5100) (15w) and 60Hz screen are weaknesses in 2025, we must cut it some slack given its 2023 release and the fact that many competitors still struggle to match its raw performance. I wish there were a company that made a budget mini tablet with all of these strength. I hope the upcoming Samsung Tab A11 has all of these attributes
