Meet the Honor Pad X9 - a simple tablet that should be on your radar if you're looking for a media consumption device you can take anywhere.

The Honor Pad X9 is tough to beat in terms of an overall package for its price. It comes in a single 4/128GB config that'll set you back €250/£180 and it ships with a 10W charger and a USB cable.

Back to those multimedia credentials. Upfront, the Honor Pad X9 has a big 11.5-inch LCD of 120Hz refresh rate and 1200x2000px resolution. There are six speakers around the display. In landscape orientation, you get two on the left and right, and two on the bottom. The last two's aim is to bounce sound from a surface you've placed the slate on, creating a 360-degree effect.

The audio quality is solid but we expected a bit more oomph from the six-speaker system. On a positive note, the display is nicely vivid and very bright.

Rounding up a few of the key specs - the Honor Pad X9 has an ample 7,250mAh battery which should provide good runtime paired to the 6nm Snapdragon 695 chip. There are two 5MP snappers on each side for video calls.

You can get the Honor Pad X9 right now from Honor's website in Malaysia, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, in the UK, France, Germany, and Italy, and Honor offers a few nice bundles to go along with the price. You can pair the tablet with an Honor Band 7 for €40 (down €10), the Honor Earbuds X5 for €50 (also down €10), or the Honor Earbuds 3 Pro for €100 (down by €70).

The only issue is that Honor doesn't currently offer a case with a kickstand or a keyboard option, but you'll likely find those on the third-party market.
