Honor Pad X9a is on the way, certification reveals

Vlad, 30 January 2025

Honor is working on a successor to the low-end Pad X8a which it launched back in August. This will unsurprisingly be the Honor Pad X9a, and it will be offered in the UAE as it's just been certified for sale over there by TDRA.

Of course, the device is likely to be available in many more international markets. TDRA also certified the upcoming Honor Pad V9 recently. The X9a that passed through the TDRA's process was Wi-Fi-only and had the model number ELN2-W29.

Unfortunately, there are no spec details revealed by the certification. Still, you shouldn't expect this to be a high-end device. For reference, note that the X8a has an 11-inch 1200x1920 LCD touchscreen with 90 Hz refresh rate, the Snapdragon 680 SoC at the helm, 4GB of RAM, 64/128GB of storage, a couple of 5 MP cameras (one on the front, one on the rear), and an 8,300 mAh battery.

This is actually a higher end model, just like how the regular phone X series works (aka similarly to Samsung and Motorola)

First in what?
