Honor Power unveiled with 8,000mAh battery, Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset

Honor is introducing a new smartphone line today called “Power”. The eponymous Honor Power lives up to its name with a massive 8,000mAh battery. Not bad for a phone that’s a hair under 8mm thick.

As a flex, Honor compared the battery capacity of the Power with that of the iPad Air 11 (2025) – it’s 29.60Wh vs. 28.93Wh in favor of the phone. The phone’s battery has an impressive power density of 821Wh/L thanks to a high amount of silicon.

In terms of endurance, the battery can last 25 hours of long-form video playback, 23 hours for TikTok, over 23 hours of navigation and 14 hours of gaming.

The Honor Power has an 8,000mAh Si/C battery

The phone supports 66W charging and – we can’t believe we’re asking this – but is 66W enough? There is no data on how long a 100% charge takes, but only 2% of battery charge is enough for an hour of phone calls or scanning 100 WeChat codes.

For compute power, the phone brings the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, which has previously been used in the number series – Honor 100, 200 and 300. The chip is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB storage, you will find a pricing breakdown at the bottom.

The Power has a ‘micro quad-curved’ 6.78” OLED display (1,224 x 2,700px) with 120Hz refresh rate and 10-bit colors. The brightness peaks at 4,000 nits with 3,840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.

The camera setup is fairly basic. The 50MP main module has an f/1.95 lens with OIS and can record 4K video. It is joined by a 5MP ultra wide (yes, 5 megapixels). The front-facing camera, which is set inside a pill-shaped hole, has a 16MP sensor and only does 1080p video.

Connectivity includes an in-house RF enhancement chip, the Honor C1+. This is a dual-SIM phone with BeiDou satellite texting on the 12/512GB variant. It promises 20% better positional accuracy with triple-frequency BeiDou and dual-frequency GPS. Additionally, there is Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3 (LDAC, aptX HD) and NFC. The USB-C port only supports USB 2.0 data rates.

The phone is waterproof, but we don’t see an official IP rating.

Honor Power colorways: Snow White • Desert Gold • Phantom Night Black
