Everything else takes a backseat though. Thank you kunlun glass or whatever they used for this. Maybe one of these days, we'll read someone using this to bludgeon somebody?

I also think peo... moreThere's not a lot of people who use the manual mode on their phones, we just want to point and shoot and upload to our social media for the memories. Heck, I've gone through a lot of phones and not once tinkered with the manual mode. I mean what's the point? once you upload them on facebook etc, no one is going to comment that you should try the manual mode, or you've used an incorrect exposure.

I mean the durability part of it is impressive, but everything else is a hard pass. The cameras are not even good, at this price point, mediatek has a ton of options that has better image processing.

A lot of mid rangers cannot compete with it, even though it only has 60hz refresh rate, its not a deal breaker at this price point, also the stock android experience with absolutely no bloatware is a joy to use. A mid range phone with a flagship soc, now there's not a lot of those out there eh?

the only thing I didn't like about this phone is the camera. Though it's usable when taking pictures outdoors. I'm using the high res mode for higher resolution photos. They came out sharp and good. Otherwise the screen, battery capacity, charging and weight of the phone is excellent.
If you are a casual gamer like me and I only play CODM once in a while, this phone will be just fine for you. If you love watching movies this phone would satisfy you.

Why is this phone not available in Europe? I also think people are too quick to write off the camera of a phone: you need to test the camera in manual mode at different exposures before you are qualified to confer a judgement. If you are too lazy or too stupid to utilise the manual mode, you should opt for Pixel or iPhone. Any phone review that tests the camera in auto mode only is utterly worthless.

It's actually $300. and comes with honor x3 lite wireless earbuds over here in the Philippines. (intro promo)
Good daily driver. (casual gaming and some socmed can be done)
Only gripe is the single speaker.

And sure the chipset may not be as fast, but in lieu of that you get a nice 120hz display, bigger battery, faster charging, and more premium design.

Got my Honor X9a 5G last February 4. In my 4 days of use, I can already conclude that this phone isn't really a social media phone. Yes, the camera really sucks. The photo quality reminds me of a Lenovo phone I used to have way back 2011. Lol. But, in fairness, the display of this phone is truly one of the best I've known so far. Almost as if you are already using a flagship phone. If you are someone who is socmed crazy or a hardcore gamer, this phone is not for you.
