Don't get me wrong I really like webOS, I thought it had great potential but I'm currently writing this comment on my Touch pad using Android ICS and its so much better than a lot of tablets around that cost a lot more money. I think ICS is possibly the best operating system for any tablet made so far.

I have touchpad for a good 4 months now.
Pros:
Nice screen
volume is decent
Slim and design in durable
web browser with flash support
decent battery life
Cons:
Less tablet compatible Apps on web OS
experience on web browser was sluggish at times
No divx support
no rear camera. front camera isn't the greatest

I don 't quite understand the comment that webOS is crap. The main reason for ever buying a touchpad is because of webOS. The hardware of the touchpad is nothing special. The iPad beats it hands down for build quality and display quality. Webos, on the other hand has the potential to beat IOS and Android hands drown. If you want proper multi-tasking on a tablet then WebOS is your only choice. Now HP has made it open-source, hopefully we will get to see the OS meet its full potential.

Android install directions can be found here! This Tablet really needs Android. Give it what it needs, go on. Android turned this defuncted fire sale tablet into a hot little Touchpad.

Once you install Android Cyanogen Mod, It runs great! Web OS is junk and really devalues the tablet. The hardware is good most notably the speakers which rival the levels my laptop puts out. The processor and GPU easily handle Apps and games, GTA 3 and Shadowgun run great.
There are of course some glitches. Like music playback being muffled when the screen turns off but all in all nothing too major. Most errors can be solved with a simple reboot.
Absolutely fantastic work done be the Cyanogen Mod Team. I just wanted to thank you guys for your hard work and dedication. Please donate to help keeps the support and updates coming.
Tweaks--> use juice defender to disable Wifi when the Pad is locked. Also use CPU master to dynamically alter the clock speed based on demand. Add AnTutu Battery saver to limit the max speed of the processor in power saver modes. This will help to ensure great battery life.
