Why microsoft makes such a os with such limitations:

WP7-specific limitations

* No system-wide file manager
* No Bluetooth file transfers
* No USB mass storage mode
* Limited third-party apps availability
* No Flash (nor Silverlight) support in the browser
* Too dependent on Zune software for file management and syncing
* No video calls
* New ringtones available only through the Marketplace
* Music player lacks equalizer presets
* No multitasking
* No copy/paste
* No DivX/XviD video support (automatic transcoding provided by Zune software)
* No sign of free Bing maps Navigation so far
* No internet tethering support
* No handwriting recognition support

          I play with this phone daily at work (I work for Telstra) snd it is quite impressive.

          Comparable to WP6 it is markedly better, and IMO exceeds the iphone in both design and functionality.

          Obviously it is lacking in the app department, but from what I hear it is having more and more apps developed as we speak.

          It is fast, functional, has multi-touch input for zooming etc, great camera, high def screen adn vid recording.

          It is not limited to 8gb memory, as it uses a micro sd car under the battery cover for memory, but it is not advisable to remove it and put in a larger one.

          it comes with maps and gps as standard,

          overall a very good phone

Who knows wha... morei cant think of alot of people who want to buy a phone based on future updates..how long until these updates are released and by that time new windows phones may be out, if microsoft had any sense they would sort it out before releasing the phone, so it could do whats expected

                What is the difference between this phone and HTC 7 Trophy?

                I guess NONE, so WTF? Sounds like HTC has different design teams, and produces all they create.. Good, but in this case, they created same devices :)

                    had this phone 3 days overall a good phone!! only thing that has really annoyed me is the fact u cant make a song into a ringtone!!! wats that all about???

                        why would htc want to put their name and reputation (considering most of their handsets recently released are pretty good)with windows who cant put the obvious functions of things like outlook and copy and paste on a phone...surely these would be some of the main features a consumer would want when buying the phone

But i saw a few shops in Singapore selling this phone aleardy (trophy and HD7 too). Maybe this phone will be available in HK within a few days - try Wanchai Computer Center.
