Hello, I am from Karachi (Pakistan).
I was using HTC Sensation. Just bought a new Amaze yesterday.
It was on Gingerbread. And because its an Asian version, so no official ICS was available for it (yet).
I am active member on XDA. I followed many guides there, did some experiments, and now I am successfully running latest ICS ROM on it.

AnonD-111250, 10 Feb 2013Can anyOne tell when will htc launch its ics update ?? actu... moreT-logo is the one released in US. Amaze in Pakistan comes without a logo. It can't be updated to ICS 4.0 because ICS 4.0 isn't released for Asian market (including Pakistan).
But even then it is a pretty good phone, considering its price. The battery, as everyone claims, is NOT as poor. Most smart phones have battery issues. Amaze lasts around a day on moderate use. Only Wifi and Gaming eat up battey quickkly.
Final word: If you are tight on budget, its a perfect option for you (apart from Xperia P, which is for 26,000)

i bought this set around 4 days before and i am having problems with its reception.i get messages quite late than they were actually sent plus sometimes when someone tries my number it shows off when its actually on..can someone help me with this problem and tell me the reason behind this and how to overcome it??its in warranty should i give it back?

Can anyOne tell when will htc launch its ics update ?? actualy i recently consulted a htc dealer in pak n he told me that it comes with ics android version n can be updated to jb . And i thnk there wasnt a t mobile logo on the phon ! actualy i wanna buy this phon but em a bit confused that whether htc will launch its update soon or not n yea another thing what's the case if there's not a t mobile logo on the phon ??

I brought amaze 5 days age, and its really working fine. camera is superb and very fast processor, the only problem is the battery, bcoz on heavy use it only works for 8 hours but if u use it only for calls and sms, your battery will work for 15-20 hours. overall its a nice phone.

zQ, 05 Feb 2013so you mean its not original by htc?? in 25kit is 100 % original. But what i got is Asian Version of HTC amaze X715E and it is not upgradeable as of now that is what available in Pakistan by its official distributor.
Only T-Mobile got upgraded to ICS in Eurpe and USA.
Do you have any idea that HTC will announce ICS on this Asian version?

The set is awesome.But will this set get update to ICS or JB in near future, plz guide? The only reason i bought it because it has local warranty and its specs. But what about ICS update on this version Amaze x71e?
