I've had the phone for 14 days now. I've took my amaze back to the store twice. Once because my notification and my vibrate did not work. Factory reset did not fix the problem. Second time, phone was booting in a loop on its own. I had it charging and took a nap to wake up to a boot loop. A factory reset didn't work either. Im working on my third phone now, It runs very well, very smooth and sleek. Camera and video is amazing. Sound quality is awesome.
The battery life is not so amazing. I close apps through manage applications. I still have to keep the thing charged about midpoint through the day. I use a text messaging, twitter, and instagram mostly, but not heavy usage. I have my sync settings adjusted so it does not "sync" all day long.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoy the phone, I'm anxious to see how it performs with ICS in June.

When the wait for ICS available? If they don't keep their promise, I will not buy a HTC product again.

The only con is the battery, everything else is really "Amazing." The battery didn't work for me because I am a gadget freak, so the phone doesn't stand by for long in my hands. For anyone who doesn't use the phone always, including and for most the 4G network, this phone will be to love. The camera is stunning, the processing speed is also a plus.

Actually I am quite disapointed with the Amaze, or rather it's a nice gadget for social networkers or the younger crowd....I find the screen (or any tactile screen for that matter) difficult to work with....not easy to stroke the right way for the action you want it to do...even installing a wallpaper is complicated because it always crops your images or pictures, and then you have to choose if you want a wallpaper, a theme, or a skin wich actually is all the same thing!!!! I tried skyping, that did not go well either because you do not have access to the tool bar you get when on your pc, in wich you can adjust sound from the speakers and mic. so I could not ear a darn thing! I was seduced by the camera, by the possibilities it offered for Skype, GPS (even if not real gps) but after 3 days the honeymoon is over....I can't wait until there's a good bombination phone on the market, as professionnal as a blackberry and as fun oriented as an HTC but without their downfalls...

Better than the iphones 4s , all my friends got the iphones 4s when they came out, n now they saw my Amaze n they wants to tray in.Need more power 4 ur phone, get battery from megacapacity.com, they'S CHEAP, CAME W EXTRA BACK COVER FOR EXTENDED LARGER CAPACITY BATTERY.

I'm not too sure about the Amaze as my daughter just purchased, but with any phone (Blackberry, Nokia, Samsung ExhibitII, etc.) I was not able to transfer any of the installed apps from internal storage that came with phone as this would allow user to delete from phone in its entirety....if this is not so then I'd love to know because I was informed by all 3 manufacturers that installed apps from mfr cannot be deleted.

ezchap, 04 Apr 2012Forget about getting any other models within the HTC range.... moreI totally disagree. I was a advid user of any HTC phone until I got my hands on the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx. It beats the one x hands down,not even close to it. I can watch at least 6 complete videos and only be down to 60% in battery. Try that with your HTC One X. Believe me when I say HTC as a whole makes the best group of phones but they have a long way to go to compare at the moment to the Mororla Razr Maxx

lyneil, 07 Apr 2012how do yoy transfer app data files from internal storage to... morego to setting, applications,then manage applications, and choice which one u want to move to sd card. why don't u download (app 2 sd) from android market its free. app2sd let u know the games and app move to sd card.
