Im also afraid of not being able to update even if its available. Got a keyboard update but it doesnt want to install due to error.

Not that im saying i dislike my butterfly. Its good and really happy with it. Im just saying there are better options.

Vis, 07 Sep 2013I am gona change ma old note 1. I have 2 optns htc one x+ ... moreI dont suggest any one of those two u mentioned. One x+ and butterfly are both old devices. 4.2.2/sense 5 would probably be their last update coz only few people bought it. There are a lot of better options out there.

I got an update too but not the sense 5/jb 4.2.2..
Its a package update of less than 2mb to install updates properly and a 6mb one for keyboard updates.
Think we got the same update. Im from philippines.

Those updates are old updates got it when i first bought the phone. Got 2 updates when i turned it on the first time.

I got 2 updates 1 is small package to update before the OS and 2nd is d keyboard updates. Yet to receive any notification that 4.2.2 can be downloaded even manually check.

Which phone should I pick?
Sony X... moreIn terms of personal experience, im not happy with experia arc s. Thats my one and only sony device and didnt buy again. I had htc desire as my first smartphone. Up to now, it is still working without any problems. I upgraded to arc s to try catch up with specs but i didnt like it so i sold it and bought sensation xe. I tried galaxy s3 but i liked lcd screens more than amoleds so sold it. I now have the butterfly and i am really happy with it.
With the arc s, it is not responsive enough at some games while the low spec'd htc desire can run it properly. I also dont like sony's ui and for me sense is way better. However, a lot of people dont like it. Others are complaining too that the notification area lacks a lot of shortcuts. What theybdont know is that htc is rich in quality widgets which would compromise the notification area shortcuts. I also hate scrolling with sony that ubaccidentally hit things but that doesnt happen with htc phones.
If you are really torn between the two devices, there is a review made by gsmarena featuring those two battling each other with detailed descriptions and honest comments.
For me, spec-wise, z wins. Better camera, battery and slightly faster. The big disappoint with z is its ugly screen.

Music is very good both on speaker and headset.Very loud and clear. With regard to screen quality, there's no doubt butterfly wins again here. Sony screen is too dim.
