HTC Desire 816 official availability announced in the United States

HTC announced official availability of the mid-range Desire 816 in the United States. The characterful 5.5” phablet joins the HTC Desire 610, which is already on sale across the Atlantic.

The HTC Desire 816 will be available on Virgin Mobile starting tomorrow, August 12. It will be priced at $299 with the carrier’s no-contract plans. The handset will also be offered through the manufacturer’s online store.

HTC Desire 816 packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC, 5.5” 720p display, 1.5GB RAM, 13MP camera, and Sense-d Android 4.4 KitKat. You can find out all about it in our detailed review.
