hey frnds wat i got on a mobile site bout htc desire 820 Android L update "Expect to hear from other companies in a while, although HTC’s new launches including the HTC Desire 820, new Desire Eye will ship with Android L out of the box later this month, hence the delay in launch." this was posted on 15th oct.

laser, 31 Oct 2014Well, I haven't played much high end games (I am not a game... morethe issues you are facing is due to 64 bit chipset and kitkat is not able to handel it well...
as per the htc experts they said let lollipop update hit the phone (android 5.x.x)
both these problems will be solved automaticly
cause android 5.x.x is also based on 64 bit architecture

However, whatever I played, it was quite responsive without any delay. Will try to download some high-end games later this weekend to test the performance. The only issue currently is battery drain while playing games and heating problem.

Hi Guys, I bought this phone from China. I am in Hong Kong. Some initial observations.
I faced some issues with Google services initially as its blocked in China phones. Had to take it a mobile shop to get it working (after trying all options available)
Aesthetics wise its good. It doesn't look/feel cheap.
Size is a bit big. I compared it with LG G3 and it feels very handy. You need two hands to operate 820.
It also is a bit slippery.
Screen is ok. Even though its 720p, it does not feel that bad for videos and photo. Of course you cannot compare it with G3 or Z3.
Response is good. Apps open quickly and moves freely.
The most disappointing factor is Battery. With just 20 mins play of Candy crush (not even a high end game), the battery usage reduced to 70% (with both Wifi/4G on). I had to charge it twice on same day. However if you don't play games and just normal browsing, then it will last more than 1 day.
The next issue I faced was that, it gets heated up pretty quickly. With light use itself phone becomes warm.
Camera is ok. I am not an expert in reviewing finer aspects of photography. However, comparing it with iPhone 5, it was not that bad.
It does have FM. As far as accessories, there is no headset.
I didn't try whether it is dual-sim stand by or active (I only use single sim now)

how can gorilla glass 3 is not there the company itself had said it that it would be there and its all over google that 820 has gorilla is everyone 100 % sure of that ??
