Battery is extremely bad. Overnight, battery drained by 50% simply because the Wi-Fi was on. Once it gets to below 25% it will drain to 1% in a matter of seconds (sometimes even before I can plug in the charger, it switches off). And once battery is this low, even after plugging in the charger, it will drain for sometime before starting to charge. Phone heats up very quickly when you use apps like Facebook for more than 10 minutes, or play games, or even have the mobile data on.
No Android update available for this phone. I still have 4.4.4.
Ringtone volume is good if you have the phone out in the open, but put it in your pocket or bag, and you will have only missed calls. Otherwise, sound quality is good for music.
Frankly, not worth its price. Could have found a better phone at a lower price.

Jaiby, 18 Jan 2017Dont buy this, main camera is not good.Yes, I agree. The main camera boasts 13 MP but the picture quality isn't nearly as good as some other phones with lower MP. Front camera is passable with the help of beauty camera apps. Still, picture quality in low light is bad for both front and back cameras.

Already most of the HTC phones have got update version. But it is matter of so regret that the model desire 820s yet not got the version 6 ( Marshmallow). Do plz give this update in model desire 820s as early as possible.

Moha, 13 Jan 2017I m using 5.0 version in my 820s.. my friend too using the ... more@Moha How long do you think you'd love to stick on this phone? I've left it 6 months ago because of its faulty physical design which allows to get dust into the lens of the rear camera. Within 6 months I've lost 13MP feature and it turned into VGA camera because of dust. Also its a very good heater if you turn on mobile data or wifi and run an app for 15 min.

I m using 5.0 version in my 820s.. my friend too using the same phone 820s but 4.4 version.. HTC pls pls get the latest updates for 820s...!!!!!

See the brand name Htc is not eligible to provide satisfaction to their consumers because their service facilities are suck no updates still on android 4.4.4 version from last 1.5 years and other brands providing marshmallow what a shity brand is this i request on the behalf of all users please provide android update as soon as possible.

It is a piece of electronic shit which is overpriced. The battery is a waste. There is NO HTC SENSE. The camera does not stand up to the expectations. The phone runs on Mediatek processor compared to Desire 820 which runs on Snapdragon. I cannot phathom why did Htc launch this phone in the first place.
